Before you head to the dealership, think about which models you want to test-drive. Make a list of features (such as ride comfort, handling, speed, technology, or cupholders) that you want in a daily driver, and look for those during your ride. If a vehicle doesn’t have everything you want, our friendly team will help you keep looking. Read our checklist for more test-drive tips. And don’t forget to bring your valid driver’s license!
Look for the features that you want in a new car. Depending on the vehicle, these can vary quite a bit. For example, Explorer shoppers may crave family-style comfort, high-tech safety, and a strong, sure performance. If you’re browsing our Mustang inventory, you may have specific performance packs and style upgrades in mind. In any case, you should make a list of everything you want — tech features, seating adjustments, front-seat ventilation — and see how they feel during your test-drive.
Your dealer sales rep can fill you in on any aspects of the buying process! They can help you explore current deals and lease specials. And if you have questions about leasing or financing, they can walk you through your options.
Dealer fees are part of the purchase process. In Florida, dealers handle vehicle registration and title paperwork for you, and these — along with sales tax, delivery, and document fees — are among the dealer fees you can expect to pay.

That depends on you! To eventually own your vehicle (and trade it in for a new one in the future), financing is the best option. Financing also means driving unlimited miles and not having to worry about the occasional chip in your paint. Leasing, on the other hand, can lower your monthly payment. When you lease, you only pay for the vehicle’s residual value, but you have to return it to the dealership at the end of your lease. You’ll also sign an agreement that limits how many miles you can drive. And you’ll be responsible for any necessary repairs at the end of your lease (see your lease agreement for details).
You can finance a new car even if you haven’t paid off your current car loan. When you add the amount you owe to your new finance agreement, you’re essentially paying off your old loan. And that means you can trade in your current car to help lower the cost of your down payment on a new one!
Dreading the end of your lease? Don’t sweat — purchasing your current Ford vehicle is one of your lease-end options!
Doubtful. Whether you’ve got no credit or bad credit, our finance department can help you figure out your options!
